Director for FBI KC Citizens Academy

Rita Barrett joined the FBIKCCAAA Board in 2020 as the Membership Director for our local chapter.  She graduated from the FBI Kansas City Citizens Academy in 2018 having served as the Class Ambassador and Auction Chairperson.  Rita’s nonprofit experience includes: Going to the Dogs (Board Member), First Robotics Competitions (Judge Coordinator), Bob Soltero Scholarships Golf Tournament (Committee member),  KC BizFest (Dress for Success Assistant), and Comida KC (Restaurant Committee).  Rita earned two Bachelor of Science Degrees from Northwest Missouri State University, first in Marketing and the second in Management.  She has over 25 years of experience working for AT&T in various assignments including: Operations Team Leader, Work Force Manager, Payroll & Human Resource Manager, Training Delivery & Development, and Customer Service & Sales Team Leader. Rita is a contractor and currently the Supplier Diversity Coordinator in Evergy’s Supply Chain Division.  There she works with internal and external customers building and maintaining supplier relationships with local, small businesses, minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned, LGBTQ owned, and HUB Zone businesses.  Rita enjoys working with the community and is committed to serving others.
